Seriously, use Glide64 0.41 (even with evoodoo if you don't have a voodoo compatible card) for this game. It is able to correct the flickering problem which makes the game semi-unplayable, and will probably fix any other graphical glitches you are experiencing with this game also.

However, I don't think that your problem is a graphical glitch, I am pretty sure that you have a bad ROM. Check your ROM with GoodN64 (get the GoodTools installer from www.ngemu.com/n64 )to affirm whether it is Bad or not. If it is bad you can patch it with the 'IPS Patcher' (I forget where I got it... a google search will probably turn it up though) and the ROM patch library (they will be together).

Please post a screenshot of the error message that you are getting, it would be quite helpful.

Also, does the emulator crash after the error occurs?
