FF7 Controller Problem

You have to believe me when I say i've searched through the forum for a good 3 hours before I posted this.

I just purchased a fresh copy of FFVII hoping to play it on epsxe in all its pixel smoothing glory. I come home and make an iso using CDRWIN and launch epsxe with the default settings.

The square logo comes up followed by the intro, but I can't seem to go past that. Even mashing my controller buttons (logitech wingman rumblepad) does nothing. I configure my gamepad to use the keyboard. Still nothing. Tried launching directly from the FF7 cd, and still nothing. Also, my gamepad works with every other game.

I"m at a total loss to what to do here. I've attached my my Pete's OGL settings for what it's worth.

I'm using the internal sound plugin, and the PEOPS cdr driver.

TIA.
