Fawad, its called DATA. not VIDEO OR ANYTHING WHERE YOU CAN USE DESCTRUCTIVE COMPRESSION. geesuz. Imagine if we could all do that, heck i could just make my 680 meg iso into 10megs and dont give a rats ass that all i got was complete crap.

And about the topic, no in pactice you cant use a cdrom laser to read the gdrom's pit, they are too small. But in theory it is possible to read them using a dvd drive's laser. BUT, you would have to mess around with the dvd drive's servo controller. But like i said this is just in theory.
