Actually 128-bit 1Ghz DDR-II only comes to 16 GB/s which is still less than 256-bit 620Mhz DDR which is 19 GB/s on the 9700. But of course everything is still a rumor so we have to wait till the actual launch to know for sure. DDR-II isn't a revolutionary step over DDR, just evolutionary, mainly improvements so it can hit higher clockspeeds, and some things to help keep manufacturing costs down.
