Not to mention the best image quality to speed ratio ever seen.

Well just so everone knows, I picked up the 9700 pro today and installed it this evening. I've already noticed some differences in clarity on my Desktop over the the TI 4600. My web pages seem to load faster too. Tomorrow I'll really put it "through it's paces" with some games testing. I'll let everyone know how it does.
BTW, I also got my Sony Viao Laptop today as well. I'll be testing that one tomorrow as well.
sincerely,

You must have a lot of money to buy both. I'm jealous. :o
Oh yeah, check this webpage out:
Rage3D Tweak, it has a tweaker that allows you to mess around the speed and quality settings with a Radeon. (Even some options that you can't normally do with the config menu.)
WARNING: Be discreet on messing around the overclocking settings. Better yet, don't touch them.

That's always the case though. There is always something better coming up. You have to buy something eventually or else you end up stuck with a TNT2 always waiting for the "next big thing". That's why it's usually best to just compare what's out there right now, or what's out there when you feel like you need a upgrade, and not get caught up in looking too far ahead at what's coming. IMO NV35 is looking too far ahead since NV30 isn't even out the door yet. R350 is probably going to be a .13u 9700 with an extra texture pipeline, and DDR-II. ATi has already demonstrated a 9700 running with DDR-II on techTV so it probably isn't that far off. But again none of this stuff is actually out yet.

ATI has learned from past mistakes, and is gearing up for a major push. It shows that ATI always had potential, it's just that they never knew how to use it properly until after they released their Radeon 8500. With their new standardized, well made drivers, redesigned hardware, ATI not only won the image quality, but the speed as well.... for now.
I guess it's about time that a company gave Nvidia a serious run for its money, don't you think?
