Square are already starting to come back into force. FFX was a masterpiece. Although not quite back up to FF6/7 standard, it's a step in the right direction. By most accounts, Kingdom Hearts ain't too shabby either.
We've heard the rumours about Chrono Break. There is a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 2, FFXI may just be a blip (it has been in development for quite a long time now, IIRC the FF Online project was started before FFX, as there is so much more to write for an online RPG, more variables, etc...), there is also FF Chystal Chonicles on the GC due, FF Tactics Advance (FF Tactics 2 really, it's not just remake), and a Seiken Densetsu title.
Yes they are milking their franchises, but wouldn't you? The FF Movie made such a loss, they have to spread the FF name around so as to get noticed.
