I'm playing FF9 using Null's SPU V1.34. Whenever a character whacks an enemy with a stick

, instead of a "BAM" sound, I get a "DING" sound. Not that big of a deal, except other SPUs do it right. The other thing: certain sounds (Burmecian bells, certain enemy sounds, doors opening) play way too quickly, like "bng" instead of "BOONG". Here are my settings:

So, what's goin' on here? What's the next best SPU, if it can't be avoided?
