try going to configure sound and make sure all the below are checked off
enable sound (select to enable ADPCM sound)
Enable CDDA Sound (Select to enable CDROM sound)
Enable XA sound (Selevt to enable XA sound in MDEC)
Enable SPU URQ hack (need in some games)
i dont remember which one it is for movies but i think its the third one... anyways, try turning them all on... theyre below the bar where you choose your sound plugin
