Sound performance and .dll (Newbie, Sorry)
Hi
I have just installed 1964v0.8.5.0 and I'm having big big problems with the sound. Every game i try has choppy/ no sound! I'm using alzimirs 0.3 and 0.4 plugins and the default ones. any ideas for good settings. Also I have a problem where it says: 'missing glide3x.dll' when I try and change the plugin. My specs: 1900 althlon 512 ram audigy (1) radeon 8500 etc Surely this rig will easily play the games well. Cheers |

Im using Azimer's Audio 0.40 beta 2 and works great for me.
Check your Audio plugin settings, well these are my settings from AA .40 b2 Hope that helps (try other plugins if it still doesnt work proberly) Edit:The glide3x.dl is the 3DFX BANSHEE GLIDE DRIVER

Re: Sound performance and .dll (Newbie, Sorry)
-Remove Glide64.dll from your 1964 plugin directory to solve the second problem.
-You can use HLE audio, but you might find it to be choppy on a fast system. To use LLE Audio instead, you need to have PJ64's RSP.dll in your plugin directory of 1964 and check the RSP check box in the plugin menu. This gives much better quality with a fast Athlon processor. |

Re: Sound performance and .dll (Newbie, Sorry)
For the second problem either install eVoodoo 3.99 beta (www.emutalk.net, look for eVoodoo discussion ) or remove the Glide64 DLL.
Add the RSP filefrom PJ64 to the 1964 plugin directory anyways. It might help when you want to play a specife game. Please mind my spelling - my ankle hurts really bad and it's hard to type on a laptop. |

Thanks alot Andrew Hruska, [Clements] and sjaak your advice is greatly appreciated!!
Sjaak i have tried to use your settings, but it seems to have no effect! Thanks for the glide3.dll thing, that problem is now solved! clements and andrew, you talk about a RSP file (and LLE audio)? I dont really know what it does but I was aware it was in 1964. I have tried looking for the 'pj64' plugin but I cant find it on this site or anywhere. Is there a web site you could lead me towards? I remeber ePSXe clements! thats a cracking emu, i used to have it on my 400mhz with ultrahle. Come to think of it, ultrahle work perfectly then and thats why Im a bit confused on why it and 1964 doesnt work on my new pc! Oh well one day it will! Cheers |

Re: Sound performance and .dll (Newbie, Sorry)
PJ64 is not a plugin. It is a N64 emulator. Get it from www.pj64.net , get it and copy it's plugins to the 1964_085 plugin directory.
sjaak: Glide3x.dll is NOT just for Banshees. It is for Every 3dfx voodoo and banshee. |
