When I used Lewpy's on a Voodoo3, the only problem I had was invisible text on some menus, no other graphical errors. The main settings I used were FF recommended Experimental Flipping is turned off (only for FF7-9 it seems), Framebuffer to Read/Write and Offscreen Drawing to it's highest setting.
Lewpy said there's no way to get the text with the current version of the plugin, so that's the best you'll be able to do without switching down to PEopS.
