On the other hand, a GTS-250 costs a tad less, and an E7400 costs just a few bucks more then the Athlon.
Take your pick: 4770 + Athlon 5600, or GTS-250 + E7400.
The latter combo pwns the former in just about every way. Hence why everyone here has an Intel + ATI combination....and it's gonna stay that way unless they bring down the ridiculously high prices.

eh , they don't pick the cheapest combination (Intel+Nvidia) ?
I have a question here, since Core i architecture is a monolithic design, can't they make a tri-core series like AMD?
what'd they do with the slightly defected core?
and what a mess core i series naming is, there's even a socket 1156 core i7 iirc
