I don't know what the hell is wrong with AMD, it might be their policies or someone else's fault, but AMD processors (and ATI cards) are super-expensive here.

Like an HD4770 is going for a whopping $160! A measly 65nm Athlon X2 5600+ is going for $110.

On the other hand, a GTS-250 costs a tad less, and an E7400 costs just a few bucks more then the Athlon.

Take your pick: 4770 + Athlon 5600, or GTS-250 + E7400.

The latter combo pwns the former in just about every way. Hence why everyone here has an Intel + Nvidia combination....and it's gonna stay that way unless they bring down the ridiculously high prices.
