"The Spine of The World" I found an extremely good book as well, focusing on Wulfgar a lot and on new characters. It was both the most brutal and most humane book of the series, it completely refreshed my interest.
I still have The Cleric's Quintet here as well, untouched, bought from a friend who didn't feel like the series anymore. I'm reading these books because I've had a high interest in the Forgotten Realms ever since Baldur's Gate 2 and because there's not that many good fantasy games on the market.
As for The Pirate King, in this book I have here it says it's scheduled for October 2008, are you reading localised versions, or does your library simply not have it in stock yet, Radix? I buy all of them, I love having a collection for display, even though my GF begs me to read something other than fantasy books

Well, I agree that the whole Drizzt saga is kind of predeterminable and he's kind of just a goody-two shoes... Well, the Hunter's Blades books were a little different. On the Sellswords the other hand the characters are kind of evil which is nice diversity, not to mention Entreri has been one of my favourite characters in the books ever since he appeared in them!
Another series I really liked was Elaine Cunninghams, Starlight and Shadows... Definetly worth reading!
Pretty funny, I got interested in Forgotten Realms after playing the original Neverwinter Nights!

After that I got intrigued and got myself BG and BGII...
And yes, when I checked the library two weeks ago the Pirate King was still in "acquisition"... If there was one I would get it even if it was written in english but they don't have it so I have to wait for the translation. And I'm not really into buying books as I rarely feel like reading them again, so it feels like wasting money which is tight nowdays!
