If the GPU viewer is open, performance will indeed bog down as more GPU processing time is allocated to the viewer. If you avoid messing with the viewer (this includes moving your mouse cursor over it) you'll see you're performance numbers ramp up after about 10 seconds as the protein molecule begins moving all herky-jerky.

In Ahielia's case, it looks like he tried to force an upload using a commandline switch. Doing this will indicate a completed WU, but you won't get any points if the WU was actually incomplete.
I'm using the SMP CPU client (occasionally the PS3 client) and I assume you are as well? My assumption is based on the fact that WUs are coming in rather slowly from you, yet they are worth
BIG points.

Anyway, as a side note, Team NGEmu has broken in to the top 15,000 as of the last stats update! This puts us well within the top 10%.
