Shin Megami Tensei - Imagine English version just started into closed beta. My initial impression is it has a steep learning path since the sum of its system is pretty complex. Combat feels kinda a bit like Mabinogi.
Character creation pretty rudimentary, you get your standard fare of zany hairstyles, all of them for that angsty flair. My guy's called Imobishi. Figures.
The main selling point of the
megaten series is this demon stuff. Basically you sweettalk/threaten/bore a demon into binding a contract with you. Then all sort of sh!t happens. You can also fuse multiple demons to form Megazord.
A demon can be summoned to help you face the bored hordes of enemies and make battles a bit easier. You may also try to befriend humans if you're not afraid of being called n00b by them.
Will post up more shots once I install it on my gaming PC. My notebook doesn't even bother to provide shaders for that compulsory bloomed-to-death look in mmorpgs.
