who died of starvation in the end? I think I saw that a long time ago with my girlfriend, but I'm not sure if that's the same movie that I'm thinking of. If it is, then it was a truly sad movie indeed.

The little boy's whole family died in front of him when he turned around.
Well, his mom survived but was really really badly burned; her face was rotten
