This game never got enough spotlight. Its definitely a true classic.

This game had a awesome storyline probably one of the most moving games I've ever played, and characters and combat system. And to top it all off, it wasn't like traditional style RPGs were their was always a main villain behind everything. This game combines lots of philosophies of religion and man, and the true enemy wasn't your Sephiroth, it was the dark emotions of mankind and religion. How many games today, and back then had a storyline like that? I can't think of any.

This game is definitely the best console RPG imo. Final Fantasy 7 with its high praise doesn't even compare to Xenogears!

Original copies of this game run at like 50-70 bucks depending if its packaged still or not. Its well worth the investment imo.

That is a terrible bug. I don't remember how I managed to get passed it. It only would freeze when Deus used some attack.

I think I managed to finish him off on a try before he could cast it. xD

But I can't remember, I fixed and got around tons of compatibility issues. I use to use multiple emulators, PSXeven worked best for Xenogears imo.. Maybe ePSXe 1.7.0 solved the Xenogears bugs, and I'm sure it runs better than PSXeven now.

Xenogears fans should check out World Destruction on DS. A chunk of the development team was the original Xenogears team.

The storyline is sort of similar to Xenogears. Humans live as slaves, sorta like the land dwellers and the main character possess a destructive power and he doesn't know why. Like the major antagonists are interested in his power.
