Noone can deny in reality anyone of committing a suicide, since if someone really wants to die, noone can stop him. And afterwards noone can punish him either.

Now, for the point that society shouldn't criticize them that hard, and accept it as a matter of personal choice. First of all anything should be open to criticism. And secondly, why, will the dead person have worries about what the rest of society says about it?

Do we have the right to discourage or try to stop someone from committing suicide? The right to discourage definitely. The right to stop him is the same as asking if we have the right to try to help someone that just had an accident for example. You see a man lying on the street after a car accident, should you try to help him by calling for an ambulance at least, or just leave him there because he didn't asked for any help in the first place (who knows, he might even wanted to commit a suicide) ?

Practically asking to respect a suicide is like asking from the rest of the world, your family and friends to be complete as#holes. And that is as impossible to happen as asking from the rest of the world to be complete angels .
