Who cares now?  Besides, reports are in for possible overclocking locks (no work-around) for LGA1160. I think I've heard enough. I'm stocking up on LGA775 stuffs by the end of this year.
Edit: O ****... it's true. It's not because they want to do it, it's just because they want it to be more convenient. In the end, the side effect is... budget platforms may no longer be overclocked, even by 1MHz higher or lower than stock settings. Intel is dedicating a whole platform for the enthusiast market, though.
So good news: we can still overclock. Bad news: It just got more expensive.
