Food is so very very very expensive in Europe that's true, so I can understand then.
I mean a simple sandwich and a small glass of coke or something like that already comes to around 6 euros when I was last there in 2004. Here in South Africa the same amount in Rand (R60-70) give you like a garlic roll starter, a nice big burger and some fries along with a large glass of Coke, then possily some ice cream afterwards aswell. And with the change you can pay for your parking ticket and get yourself a chocolate bar or something for a midnight snack.
I like cringed every time I took a sip from a glass or took a bite of whatever I was eating whilst I was in Germany. However even with the bad exchange rate I still managed to get quite a few games for WAY cheaper than they would be over here so it was still a great trip.
So if you look at it like that that then yes I can understand where you are coming from and I feel sorry for you.
