Although it may be too late to help you, nigejuan, I generally recommend using a text editor to edit the codelist.inf file

First make a backup, then go in and copy out the sections for just the games you play into a new, blank text file. Pay attention to the formatting in the original file! This will unclutter the [pec] screen and make editing your personal codelist manually much easier.

Then, go on the wwweb and find codes, or make your own. Referring to the existing codelist.inf formatting, add the new codes (you may want to discriminate about which codes you add, to avoid useless clutter) to the appropriate sections, complete with comments and directory structure to suit your needs.

It's really easy to figure out how [pec] parses things once you get into the codelist.inf and look around. And by doing the editing manually you will be able to organize all your codes much better.

Distrust anything automatic and you'll have less headaches.
