Well I have to pick FF8 too
But have to say "Burn My Dread" on Persona 3 somehow just hit me too...(haven't seen the ending yet) The intro itself is also pretty nice, a girl seems to try shoot herself in the head and stuff

Stratovarius has a song called Alpha & Omega, its one of my favourite too... I doubt its the same though, haven't heard the xenogears intro.
