It depends on your computer, it may change your speed emulation if you have high specs or low specs.
Anyways, I recommend you use the GSDX for video, it's faster and has better quality than ZeroGS (well, that's my opinion), if you want to see the videos with no glitches use native resolution. It will render the 3D graphics just like the real ps2 (I think it's 640x480 with no antialias) but you'll gain speed and it will play the videos with no problems. Anyways, if you don't mind to play videos with glitches you may want to use a higher res with antialias, because it will almost look like a nextgen game xD Seriously, the 3D quality is 10 times better with a higher res + antialias, if you have a good computer give it a try.
For sound I recommend you ZeroSPU checking the Time Scaling option, it will sync sound with the game.
And for the controller, if you want to use vibration and all that stuff I recommend you lilypad plugin, the best for me.
For the DVD plugin I'm using the linuzappz one.
