I dont usually judge games on graphics and agree graphics isnt everything. But with silent hill you need the graphics to create the atmosphere, oh and the sounds too :P

yes graphics arn't everything, but some games need better graphics than others in order to immerse the user in the experience.
particularly 3d games.
