Well, its mostly in idea stage atm, so im tossing some ideas at the devs and if 1.8 comes to light, they might be incorporated.. the main idea i had was to get the built in cdrplugin to do some caching.
especially since the CDRXeven and Sapu plugins no longer work on 1.7...
