anyways manufacturer quoted contrast ratios are all skewed and not reliable. Just like refresh rates. HOw much of a skew depends on manufaturer and model and much time spent researching on the internet.
Just wait until Long lasting cheap OLED displays hit the market in several years. 1million :1 contrast ratios, 100 times faster refresh rates than current LCD tech, insane viewing angles, very low power consumption, the blackest black levels and 3 millimeter thick displays.
