Not really because then something new will come out that will crumble and only run in the mid 30's even on the high end cards. Its like how people were saying "Cant wait for Oblivion on this and that" then once its a reality they don't care because compared to the new game on the block its not as impressive as it once. And the cycle just keeps going.
