Yes this is very disguisting, but to be fair its not like the military's top brass or 95% of the soldier out there would do this type of thing.

These types of people exist all across the world in every army. I don't think the psychological tests done during recruitment if any are even done for that matter are able to determine if people are socio or psychopaths or whether they will become twisted under these stressful conditions, how they will respond to constant hostility or given the opportunity to get away with inflicting suffering on other.

Such a battery of psychological test need to determine if someone is likely wouldn't be cost effective to do on every single soldier.

The military much like law enforcement is often times a magnet for those who enjoy the added power, authority and opportunity to inflict suffer on others such occupations provide.
