got the same BSOD again today, same STOP code, so i guess i have to download the nero thing.

could you just link me? because i really don't know what it is or what it is supposed to do.

i never used to try fixing BSODs, i would just ignore them

edit: why does nero and not windows have this wnaspi that is a seemingly critical component of windows? is it because mine got deleted or something, and i just have to download a new one?

edit again: so on this help page for the STOP code, it says the following...

"MORE INFORMATION
ASPI extends the capabilities and number of devices that the operating system supports. You can determine what version of ASPI you have by viewing the Version tab in the Properties dialog box of the Aspi.sys or Aspi32.sys file. These files are typically located in the Winnt\System32\Drivers folder."

i looked for either the Aspi.sys or Aspi32.sys files in my System32\Drivers folder, and neither are there!
so are these files i should get, or are they something that only windows XP uses and Vista does not? i don't want to download and insert the "missing" files only to find out that Windows Vista does not need them and/or end up causing more BSODs
