right, i already know that you should never load a PSU 100%.

i was just asking if it seemed normal that a 45nm quad core CPU along with SLI only draws about 500 watts of power. this seems like the dream setup for many people, i can't even think of what else you could add to get the power usage anywhere near 1kw!

guess i'll just keep the 750 watt i have. its a great PSU, and i'm glad i won't have to buy another as they are somewhat pricey.
