Hardware vs Software
Its been awhile since I've had my DC hardware available for me to use. Unfortunatley the games I own are thousands of miles away and I'm unable to test this myself. My question is this:
Are the .cdi images themselves EXACT replacas of the discs I've backed up (and therefore responsible for many of the graphical errors experienced in emulation) or are the images I've burned responsible for, at least, part of the graphics problems I have.
The reason I ask this is because I was considering purchasing a 'new' Dreamcast and making burnt copies of what I have in order to play them. Will I have the same graphical inconsistancies that I have with, say, nullDC (most notably, some of the background scenery in SoA)?
As a side question. Being the SNES enthusiast I once was, will SNES roms appear acceptable through the Dreamcast on my TV if I were to emulate them on hardware?... or will it give me crappy graphics quality. (FYI my SNES is located in the same area as my DC.).
