Try this. If it still crashes, try unchecking disable screensaver. This now reads input in the GS thread. I made this change before, but it had a significant performance impact for some people and didn't seem to have any effect on stability. If it works, I'll make a checkbox or something. And if it still crashes... Be prepared for yet another debug version. Joy of joys.
