pSX will read your ePSXe memory card directly, Renvald - there's no need for any kind of plugin or anything - in fact, pSX doesn't use plugins anyway. You don't need to convert the ePSXe memory card. Almost all Playstation emulators use the same raw format for memory card saves, so they can all read each other's saves. The file extension doesn't matter: most Playstation emulators will look for a particular one, but you can always type in the actual filename (if you're in the right folder) and they will find it. pSX doesn't even look for a particular extension; you can just load any memory card in the raw format directly.
The only saves you need to convert are ones made by other devices: for instance, the Dexdrive (a device for reading/writing to actual Playstation memory cards with your PC) has a different format, and its cards must be converted.
What OS are you using? It's very important when you're asking for help with a problem to give the people you're asking as much information as you can - very few people posting in forums actually have any sort of psychic powers. Have you checked that your controller is properly installed? In Windows, you would usually do this in Game Options in Control Panel; in Linux, it would depend on what distribution you're using. Does it say on the back of the game case that the game you're trying to play supports analog controllers, or are there options ingame to set analog options? If it doesn't specifically say analog controllers are supported on the game case - they aren't.
Do your analog controls work in other emulators/games? Does pSX read them in the Controllers configuration if you have the controller Type set as Dualshock - and the Device correctly identified as your controller? Your XBox controller is probably force feedback: since force feedback buttons read as axes (i.e.the same as analog controls) it's often difficult for applications to recognise which axes the analog sticks actually are - particularly since IIRC the ones on the XBox controller are not axes 0,1,2 and 3 as with most controllers, but have other assignations (I may be wrong on this; I don't have an XBox controller).
Are you playing your Megaman X6 game from the original CD or from an image - and, if an image, what format is it? If you're not playing from the CD, try that: many ripping utilities don't preserve the track configurations correctly in a multi-track image, and having sound, but not music, is typical of this, as the music is often in extra tracks. If you're using the .iso format, this doesn't include multi-track information, so extra tracks will not be read. .bin/.cue should include the information, but often doesn't do so properly. The best formats to use are .ccd/.img/.sub and .mdf/.mds, both of which usually have have usable track information and include subcode (essential for defeating copy protection).
