Suikoden II is, apparently, not protected, Vahious, so a patch wouldn't be much use. You could try the -r switch - apparently it's effective with this game. If that doesn't work, I'd suspect you're playing from an image and it's naff.
Try playing the game from the original CD - if that works, you know you have a bad rip. See the
