Or try playing from the original CD, Jumpah. If this works Ok, you know it's your image that's at fault. Try re-ripping the game: the best formats are .ccd/.img/.sub or .mdf/.mds. .bin/.cue will work for many games, although if you're having synchronisation problems, it may not be a good idea, and .iso is best avoided. See the HOW TO: Make Disc Images thread on the official pSX forums.

It's also a good idea when posting with pSX problems to give details about the game, the emulator and your system. For the game, you need to identify it properly (there are many different versions, as you know): the game ID is the best identifier. You also need to say whether you're playing from a CD or an image and, if an image, what format.

For the emulator, you need to say what version of it you're using, what BIOS you're using and, generally, any changes to the default configuration you've made on the Graphics and Sound tabs.

Your system: obvious; your operating system and the hardware setup.

All these things may be somehow be important for fixing your problem.
