Ah. might well be a good idea to re-rip your game to a better format, hockland - the best formats are CloneCD's .ccd/.img/.sub and Alcohol's .mdf/.mds ones, as they have descriptor files and include subcode from the CD.

.bin/.cue will usually work Ok with games that don't have subcode issues (i.e. are not protected), but even so, I always found the .img format used to work better than .bin even with ePSXe, which doesn't read subcode directly or read descriptor files. The .iso format, unfortunately, neither includes subcode nor has a descriptor file.

The descriptor file (the .cue, .ccd and .mds ones) contains information about the image: its format and the positioning of tracks. This enables an application that uses descriptor files to read the image more effectively. When using a format that has a descriptor file (in pSX) you should always start the game by selecting the descriptor file rather than the image itself.

Alcohol does a free version of its 52% application that allows ripping but not burning.
