Also having the error limaho posted when using no$GBA 2.6/2.6a, no$GBAtoVBA 3.0, and pokesav 0.39eng/0.38b.
After following the steps posted (they're all the same, really doesn't matter as there is only one way to set up the program correctly) here and elsewhere, I continually end up with the "save file has been erased due to corruption or damage" error.
This happens regardless of what has been edited, even if I open the newly converted file simply to save and exit. Even loading a pre-made .pkm to an empty box results in this error.

This has been annoying me on and off for the last few hours, as I progress in the game normally and then try to edit the save from my most current position. Is no$GBA simply not compatible with saves edited via pokesav or has anyone one else had this problem and found a solution?
Some things I have yet to check are if it is region-related or a no$GBA 2.6 problem. Also noticeable is that whenever I open a converted save (first time after creation) it never has my currently-owned Pokemon listed correctly. They always appear as a separate species/type with an irregular moveset and name containing characters unsupported by pokesav. I question whether this could be due to the fact that my current setup is using both English and Japanese language settings, though I have yet to test my suspicions.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

EDIT: As it turns out, Regional and Language Options was the problem. I had to change my language settings for non-Unicode from Japanese to English (United States) and everything is working fine now. Names in the editor show up correctly and I am able to load my edited .sav files in-game without the corruption error.
