The Wii is having a lot more support from third-parties than the 64/GC had, just because past consoles lacked third party support doesn't mean that 'nintendo console' won't receive any serious rpg.
That is quite possible, but I'm not sure they would say "rpg fans" in that case, they would go more along the line of "nintendo fans" or "adventure fans". A real rpg Zelda tho could be a possibility, even tho the last one was quite horrendous, I suppose enough time has passed that they can try and do a better one.

as i said, nintendo refers to zelda as rpg-game.
when asked why zelda twilight princess sold so horribly bad miyamoto answered that he thinks the time for large rpg-games is over

and what wii support please? now im superhappy with every nintendo title that comes out, they make owning the system truly worth it, however, third party support is next to none. numbers dont count to me, what counts is the games i really want to have and as far as that goes third party support on the wii is non existent.
