Vista automatically turns Aero off, well, at least in fullscreen I think. I don't notice any performance drop in vista x86 with aero and windowed mode, but thats probably cause my athlon x2 3800 is bottlenecking the emu.
Speaking of fullscreen mode...
- the mouse cursor still displays in fullscreen mode, it should be autohidden
- please add alt+enter fullscreen switch. A real one that works too, unlike Zerogs (which just stretches out the window to full size - I can even move the mouse to resize the screen after a fullscreen switch! And it locks up more often then not, making it, well, rather pointless.)
Since alt+tab locks up pcsx2, a good fullscreen switcher would be essential in place of it.
