N0, pSX wouldn't be able to read read .gme files; as I said it reads the raw formats that most other Playstation emulators use (which makes it easy to transfer games between them!), but .gme is, I think, the Dexdrive format - it's not raw, and not an emulator format. Shendo indicated that you'd have to convert .gme files in his first post in this thread.
I was simply pointing out that .bin is not the only format you can use with pSX. Many people like to use .mcr, for instance, to facilitate compatibilty with ePSXe; ePSXe can read pSX' .bin files, but it's a bit more hassle than getting pSX to read .mcr files.
FWIW I don't use any extension at all for my memory cards. Makes no difference in pSX, and ePSXe can still read them, too.
