iDeaS has some advantages of no$gba in the 3D department, but no$gba has has similar advantages over iDeaS. For instance the game Trace Memory can better be played on iDeaS as it has slightly better 3D support for it (water can be seen, handle can be seen etc.) however in the game Tenchu Dark Secret iDeaS is not able to show any of the background and renders it unplayable, but on no$gba the game can be played and that part is visible.
Then again on Transformers the emulators are pretty much identically bad.
Some of the typical racing games are also slightly better on iDeaS, more of the actual track can be seen, but they are still unplayable.
no$gba is still faster most of the time though, but iDeaS aint too far behind and for some games even slightly ahead.
no$gba is still the better of the two slightly as it's much smoother for some games, but I am finding myself turning more and more to iDeaS if I want to play something. It used to be test iDeaS but then play everything on no$gba, now I have a few I only play on iDeaS and some I only play on no$gba (mainly 2D GBAish games).
Unfortunately DeSmuME's speed and 3D (or rather lack thereof) stop me from playing with it much.
The only thing stopping me from using iDeaS fulltime over no$gba is that it's impossible for me to get perfect sound and speed (basically smoothness) out of iDeaS, which I can however get from no$gba for some games.
