Umm...you can play online with any Xbox 360....
Setting that aside, the Elite is black, has HDMI, and comes with the 120 GB hard drive (which is 200$ off the shelf for non-elite owners). It comes to about 480$, but the price could drop to 430$ if the rumors are true.

Yeah, some of them are going to PC. Microsoft is trying to tackle both fronts. People who don't have a top of the line computer can still play many of these games on Xbox 360 for a lower cost. I have to contest to your statement about most gamers being PC gamers. Many of my friends play games on the PC, but guess what they play? Spider Solitaire. Silly flash games. I'm not kidding. These people aren't as knowledgeable as others when it comes to computers. The people (like you) who keep up with the scene will complain, but others who spend their time elsewhere could care less, be happy, and never know the difference. Everybody forgets about those consumers, they think everybody is a nerd, spend all their time on the internet reading video game news all day, and that the nerds decide the final outcome. People complain about everything. If these games didn't come to PC, they'd be pissed off saying "Thanks Microsoft for screwing us over". If they did, they'd still be pissed off saying the Xbox 360 has no exclusives (even people who don't own an Xbox 360 - and why do they care?). You can't please everybody, and in my opinion, the hardcore gaming market is small compared to
everybody (ala Nintendo's Wii).
