if you reduced to 1.8 that means that 1.8 is the dafault clock speed for the 2400+, you can't simply reduce to any clock speed that you want.
in the past i had an athlon xp 1200+(1200mhz), that overclocked was 1900+ (1750mhz) see the difference? the default speed was 1200mhz.
