Pretty much, I recently downgraded my psp and it is quite easy, well the non-GTA exploit method I used was easy, luckily i was only on fw 2.6 so I could upgrade to 2.71 and then downgrade. When/if you get one, this will help

) Hope it helps, it helped me anyway, that and the advice of Hyuga, but as long as you follow the guide to the letter, you should be fine when/if you a get a psp and if/when you downgrade it.
