Still didn't answer my question. You really like to steer off topic with posts that have nothing to do with what I've asked. When did I say ATI is desperate? All you're doing is throwing out some good things about ATI, like them supplying chips for some consoles. You really are in denial.

Nvidia is a step ahead of ATI. Intels a huge step ahead of AMD. And since AMD owns ATI, they fund all their resources. And AMDs lost billions by purchasing ATI and by having their share of the CPU market ravaged by Intel. Both Intel and Nvidia have a huge amount of money now to put towards R&R. Got to spend money to make money, and right now, AMD/ATI are on the verge of losing a lot more.
