I have a few questions backup games

First, Im told you are allowed to have any ROM/ISO on your computer if you have the actual disc or game. True?

Second, can you just download an ISO and copy that to a disc, instead of copying a disc to your computer, then burning it, to save time?

When burning, what type of disc must you use, or what works best? Regular blank CD discs, or DVD-/+R discs, or is there a special kind of disc you must use?

Can you use your burned/backup copy in a PSX/PS2? Or do you need one of those special chips? Or are the backup copys only meant to be played on a PC?
