I've done a bit of oc'ing on computers and I've done a bit of research. The Xbox xan easily be oc'ed, but since it's a console it would just make the game go faster and make it unplayable.

And oc'ing in software is the only way to do it on a dc since you would want to be able to play your dc games too. As I said I've had a bit of experience on oc'ing (my cpu runs at -20C) and the hardware won't take damage if you just oc a bit at a time and since the dc is based on the powerVR 2 chip, mostly known as Kyro 2 (that's my graphic card) you won't get much out of it anyway. I would be amazed if some one get much more than 15MHz, but since it's a 128bit console that might be enough.

Anyway cooling is a must and and I do agree that better speed is can be reached with better code and coding for the dc is quite new and is bound to get better in time. Oc would just be a temporarly solution and not final as it does stress the system over time.
