Do you think that upgrading the video card to one of the last nVidia, for example, will improve the fps rate, or being a laptop it is probable that it doesn't get much better?
What kind of laptop do you own? It is rarely possible to upgrade a laptop video card - it's not like swapping pci-e or agp boards in a desktop. There are laptops that you can do this on. One example is a Dell Inspiron 9400. It can be configured with GMA (intel integrated), Radeon mob x1400, or Geforce 7900GS. IF you have the inspiron 9400 with Radeon x1400 (a low - mid end card) you can purchase a GeForce 7900Gs and swap it for the Radeon X1400. However, if you own a 9400 with intel GMA, you can't swap it. So although it likely would improve speed (in pcsx2 and other games) it is also likely that it is not possible.

If it is possible, your options will be limited to one or possibly two cards.
