Linux' security comes in form of total denial. Whatever involves more advanced operations than document writing and harmless preferences demands a password that must be typed in with the keyboard. If a hacker/virus tries to emulate keyboard pressing, it'll first have to get permission to emulate this...

Okay good point. Well let's see you exploit an Vista OS box.. Tell me how far you get because there are thousands others trying as we speak. And i quote slashdot.org :
"Exploit code for Windows Vista (though at this point only proof-of-concept code) has been published to a Russian hacker site, Eweek reports. Certain strings sent through the 'MessageBox' API apparently cause memory corruption. Though this is obviously cause for concern, at the moment it would seem access to the system would already be required to make use of the exploit. Determina has an analysis of the bug."
So right as we speak the only major way you can hack Vista is to already have access.. directly to the box. Thats pretty damn secure. Unless your a total Gimp who enables remote management with now protection. Also, to combat your phrase on Windows needing security... It only needs security updates for those users who don't know anything about computers or privacy levels. 99.9% of all updates from microsoft combat some form of activeX hacking.. which truly can be avoided if you know how to run a box properly.. in fact it amazes me that my sister'inlaw's computer even starts up. 3ghz, 1 gig ram XP box that takes a full 5 mins to startup from all the lame activeX crap that installs itself. Yes, Vista is secure. If you know how to use it. Hell XP was secure if you ran it right. Even with window's native firewall! ( not as configurable as i'd like.. but my friends couldn't bomb or log into my box.) I am saying this as a user who has ran BBS's and all kinds of servers for the last ten years. This is _the first_ stable OS from them since DOS LoL.
