My adapter is lacking; it's a combo PSX/N64 adapter and the PSX part died. The N64 part lives on but I don't think it supports mempacks or rumble (would be incredibly surprised if it did).
I don't see what's so special about those adaptoids, I mean what does it do? Someone just needs to copy it and resell it on the cheap

HAHA.. I wish! AFAIK, the adaptoid is the only converter that supports mem-packs, and many people that I've talked to online tell me they've owned if for 5-7 years, and the thing has never failed. Even Smiff of the PJ64 team has had his for seven years and hasn't had a single problem. Basically, you're paying to have the best n64 converter you can buy, but even $36 is a little much for me. If the price was $20, I'd be there

Apparently many people think otherwise, as they already have 35% of the pre-orders needed.
